If you’re here, chances are:

🟢You’re eating well, but your body isn’t responding

🟢 You’re bloated no matter what you try

🟢 Your energy isn’t what it used to be

🟢 The weight feels harder to shift

And it’s frustrating because what used to work doesn’t anymore.

I am Sally Bloomfield, a degree-qualified nutritionist based on the Sunshine Coast. I hold a Bachelor of Nutrition from the University of the Sunshine Coast and I am a registered member of the Australian Natural Therapists Association, ANTA Member #31048.

I work with women in perimenopause and menopause who are dealing with bloating, digestive changes, energy dips, midlife body changes and a great deal of conflicting advice. I see women on the Sunshine Coast and by telehealth Australia-wide.

Before I retrained as a nutritionist, I spent over twenty years in nursing and emergency services, first with the NHS in the UK and later here in Queensland.

That background matters more than it might sound. It taught me to take a proper history rather than react to the loudest symptom. It taught me to recognise the difference between something nutrition can support and something that needs a doctor. And it taught me that people do not need lecturing. They need someone who listens properly and gives them something they can actually do on a Tuesday night when they are tired.

I bring all of that into every session.

The same pattern kept coming up. Women who were eating well. Trying to look after themselves. Following advice that should have worked. And still bloated, still exhausted, still frustrated with their bodies.

Not because they were not trying hard enough. Because their body had changed, and the advice they were following had not caught up.

Most nutrition advice is built on averages: meal plans, calorie targets, generic healthy eating rules.

But in perimenopause your body becomes far more individual. Hormonal change, gut health, sleep, stress, medications, history and lifestyle all influence how you respond to food. A one-size-fits-all plan will only ever take you so far.

At Gutsy Solution I use an n=1 nutrition approach. It means we do not rely on rigid plans or generic rules. Instead I take you through a structured process to:

🟢 Understand how your body responds to food

🟢 Identify your personal patterns and triggers

🟢 Adjust your nutrition in a way that suits your actual life

🟢 Build a way of eating you can keep

There is no one perfect plan. There is only the one that works for your body.

Everything I do follows a clear, step-by-step method.

🩷 Understand. Why your body feels different now.

🩷 Decode. Make sense of your symptoms, patterns and signals.

🩷Adjust. Tailor your nutrition to your needs, one change at a time.

🩷 Sustain. Build consistency and a way of eating you can live with.

Confusion, to clarity, to confidence. So you are no longer guessing what your body needs. You understand it.
